Implant Restorations

The term “restoration” is used while referring to a false or replacement tooth. This restoration is fastened to the dental implant to provide the patient a fresh and normal appearing tooth. There are a small number of diverse types of implant restorations that are assessed after your preliminary consultation with a dentist.

Implant Crown Restoration

Based on your needs, a single or multiple implant crowns will be leveraged to complement the normal look of your teeth. Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth, which will be used to plan your new restoration. During the period your new implant crown gets fabricated, you will be given a provisional restoration, so as to fill the part being dealt with.

Dental Bridge Restoration

A dental bridge restoration is similar to that of an implant crown restoration. But, there is a major difference that leads to two types of restorations. A bridge comes with several crowns that have been shaped from the mold of a patient’s teeth and are later attached to the bridge. The bridge comprises of a false tooth, better known as a “pontic”, with multiple restorations or crowns on both sides of it. The bridge is crafted to be placed at the area of tooth loss and is reinforced by the neighboring teeth.

Implant Retained Denture Restoration

A patient with a usual denture may feel clicking noises or continuous movement of the denture inside the mouth. With aging, a denture may turn loose because of the variations in the jaw, making the device move. A fixed denture with implants helps retain your denture in place and eliminates the requirement to take them out in addition to reducing the risk of bits and specks getting stuck inside, that ultimately may cause contagion.
